Workshops

I design low-barrier, hands-on workshops for children and teens that build confidence in visual storytelling and creative expression. Each session can be adapted by age group and duration, and works well for schools, libraries, community programs, summer camps, and youth art studios.

1) Mini Story Zine: Making a One-Page Book

Students learn “one sheet = one book” as an entry point to folding, pagination, rhythm, and narrative. Using simple drawings and short text, they create a mini story zine they can take home—an approachable introduction to storytelling, layout, and micro-publishing.

2) Pack Yourself: Personality Suitcase Poster

A playful identity-and-emotion workshop framed as “packing yourself” into a suitcase. Students build lists, symbols, and collaged elements to map personal themes (past–present–future), then compose a finished poster. It’s especially effective for self-introduction, identity-based projects, and expressive making—without requiring portrait drawing.

3) What Does Sound Look Like? Drawing Sound with Lines and Shapes

Students translate listening into visual language. Through guided prompts, they map rhythm, volume, speed, and mood into lines, shapes, repetition, and page structure—creating a set of “sound drawings” that strengthens focus, abstraction skills, and cross-sensory thinking.

Additional Offerings

Beyond these workshops, I’m available for guest lectures, short series classes, and summer workshops/camps (in-person or online). Topics include visual storytelling, zines and publishing, collage and image-making, experimental typography, cross-sensory design exercises, personal projects, and portfolio development—customized to your students and program goals.
